In Rancho Costa lives a lively pair;
As orcs, these boarish, manly mates are bold.
Eugene and blithe Maram are kind and fair –
Advising eager folk both young and old.
Though boyish beasts Eugene has always known –
With much misrule and hardy, scrappy guys,
In tender years, Maram was known by girls alone;
He often donned a passive, soft disguise.
In recent years, Maram Eugene had met.
In time, through love, they helped each other grow.
Maram embraced the strength he asked to get;
Eugene embraced the heart he asked to know.
Eugene inside The Rose with secret lore
Is selling books and things of odd import.
While working hard inside his cozy store,
His friends admire the tomes he’s apt to sort.
Maram instead – through every business perk –
While working hard and finding joy like him,
Is wont to use his breaks from lengthy work
To build his brawny form inside his gym.
Maram is done with gym and sparring mats.
With haste he joins Eugene his kindly mate
To read some books and join in lively chats.
Eugene himself is glad to end his wait.
Inside The Rose a loving pair arrive –
Their closeness shows a nascent, tender zeal;
Like bold Maram and kind Eugene who strive,
It’s clear this pair is wont to deeply feel.
Their names are Pierce and Fred. They’re younger beasts –
A pair of foxy zenkos finding love.
The smaller, softer Pierce intones the least
While louder, bolder Fred’s a head above.
This kindred pair has made The Rose their home
Away from home – to read and rest with tea.
They carry college bags in zones they roam;
Within their minds their work is sure to be.
They’re often joined by younger Carson there -
As well as Eve, his mate with laughs and talks.
Through college work as tension fills the air,
As four, they yearn for thrills outside the box .
“Don’t worry Pierce about the ways to be
Inside the venue here” Eugene conveys.
Maram intones, “There’s awesome bands to see
And hear. Enjoy the tones and cool displays.”
As eager folk - both guys and gals arrive,
An anxious Fred is stressed for Pierce, his mate.
The floor within to dance is so alive
With flailing limbs of folk and passion great.
Eugene, Maram, and Pierce with Fred in tow -
As well as Eve and Carson there enjoy
The sights and sounds this scene is apt to show;
It’s shown through every trick these bands employ.
As Eve and Carson dance, it’s Fred they urge
To join his mate - Their ample vests with bands
They like displayed with joy and zeal. They merge
With lively, dancing folk and eager hands.
Resisting fretful urges, Fred instead
Attends to Pierce inside the rowdy pit.
Chaotic guys and gals by sound are lead –
Frenetic tones and chants that never quit.
The dancing flow envelops Pierce – this boy
Is welcomed there by seasoned gals and guys.
As Pierce with wondrous, bold, ecstatic joy
Accords with folk through knowing, eager eyes.
To Fred’s dismay, a fishy nymph appears.
With grasping, nymphic hands, he jostles Pierce.
As Pierce’s forehead strikes, the circle clears;
The dancer drops with force that’s strong and fierce.
A bearish, ogre bouncer moves aside
The nymph and Pierce is given pats from guys.
The set resumes with nothing more to chide
And greater songs enchanting ears and eyes.
“I thank you, Fred” excited Pierce conveys.
“For what?” an anxious, avid Fred replies.
A joyful Pierce intones, “For trustful praise.”
“You let me be myself with other guys.”
“I love you, Pierce” a bashful Fred effused.
Between the sets of songs, they share a kiss.
The fears of Fred through love and care diffused –
Amidst exciting bands and sonic bliss.
